Every year during September the Town of Lovettsville goes back to its roots as a German Settlement. In 1722 Lovettsville's first settlers were German immigrants. In 1836 the Virginia General Assembly established Lovettsville as a town, then in 1876, the Town of Lovettsville was incorporated.
The Lovettsville Game Protective Association (LGPA) will be hosting its annual Oktoberfest event on September 24, 2022 from 12PM to 11PM at 16 South Berlin Pike in Lovettsville. Come and enjoy Authentic German Food that will be served from 12PM to 8:00PM, which includes Sauerbraten und Spaetzle (Marinated Beef roast with red cabbage and homemade egg noodles), Wiener Schnitzel und Pommes Frites (Breaded Pork Cutlet with Red Cabbage and Potato Salad or Fries), Bratwurst Sauerkraut, (Brat with Kraut, in a roll), Brezel (Hot Pretzel). There will be seating both inside the building and in the beer garden tent outside.
