Youth Archery Program

The Lovettsville Game Protective Association is interested in forming a youth archery program for youth archers aged 8 to 20.  The focus of the program is on competitive target archery.  Recreational archers are welcome to participate as well.  An information and interest meeting is scheduled at the LGPA Hall (16 S. Berlin Pike, Lovettsville, VA  20180) on Thursday, 26 January 2017, at 7pm and is open to the community.

New Session Dates: Saturdays from August 27, 2016 thru October 8, 2016 (6 weeks) (except for Saturday, September 24)
Hours: 9:30 am to 11:30 am

Cost: $65 per student (plus tax) – Ages 8-14
includes a $15 Recreational Membership Fee in USA Archery

The Lovettsville Game Protective Association is sponsoring a youth archery program for youth in Lovettsville and surrounding communities. The program is open to children ages 8 –14. Instruction is geared towards beginning archers; however, all skill levels are welcome. Classes will be held on the grounds of the LGPA farm just west of Lovettsville from August 27 through October 8 on Saturdays, 09:30 to 11:30 – NOTE: there will be no session on Saturday, September 24. A program fee of $65 is due at time of registration; the fee includes a 1 year USA Archery recreational membership. The LGPA will also provide archery equipment for use during classes to all children who do not own a bow. For those using their own equipment, bows are limited to 40 lbs. draw or peak weight for safety reasons.

If the student is already a member of USA Archery, the fee will be $50. The student will need to provide his/her membership number.

Early registration is encouraged as the program is limited to 15 participants.
